Although my ears may deceive me, but after listening to a couple different recordings and seeing Trey prefrom this piece acoustically -- I don't think he keeps his guitar in standard tuning, rather tunes up the A string 2 steps up so its a "low B" in a way. So in short, I think its EBDGBE as opposed to EADGBE.
